During my time off the course I have been heavily spending time on Speed Control drills with my putting.
5m attempted 150 putts 170 points 113.33% – better than October by + 0.83% (112.50%)
7m attempted 150 putts 142 points 94.66% – better than October by + 1.33% (93.33%)
10m attempted 150 putts 105 points 70% – better than October by + 5.34% (64.66%)
On top of the Speed Control game/work I spent 295 minutes doing what I call follow through stops with the putter. Length of putter plus grip length over 14 days/sessions averaging 21 minutes per session.
During this month I recorded my 30 – 60m pitching over 3 sessions. from the 4 stations 10 balls at each station I do my best to stop the ball inside a 4 metre radius – 77/120 – 64.16%
Overall this month the amount of time and practice fell. This was due to less events, many 8 hour car trips and my home club being closed for maintenance for 5 days. It was great to see there was improvements across the board but my biggest improvement was putts per round which is great to see. After doing some research on the US PGA Tour I would be sitting 4th for 2017 in putts per round. For the month of December I will be focusing on hitting more greens while trying to maintain my putting average.
