Murwillumbah Pro Am
After the Murwillumbah Pro-Am I have shot a score of 74 +3 to finish T12th hitting 11 greens and 29 putts.
The greens were running true and fast as they always are in this event. Starting on the 2nd through 3 holes I was 1 under with 3 putts total which was a delight. On the 6th I had a double bogey chipping it across the green and down the slope when maybe I should have putted it. On 9 I had wedge in from the fairway and compressed the shot a little more than liked to a back flag and went in the back bunker making bogey from 3m.
Making a solid par on 10 I now had a chance to play some good golf with some easier holes ahead but on the par 5 11th where I could reach in 2 I made a bogey being twice out of position loosing momentum but bounced back with a birdie on 12. Gave that bird back with a fast down hill 7m 3 putt on 13 after having 59m in. Not the best. Another double at 14 missing the green long left and having a few chips short but to finish off the day I birdied 2 of the last 4 holes.
It was nice to have a competitive round on a mint track to test my game. Chipping is where I can improve. Apart from the doubles I was confident with my play and I am looking forward to my hit at Grafton tomorrow teeing off at 9.30am.
