3rd Round Putian Open – PGA Tour China
After the 3rd round of the Putian Open I have shot a score of 75 (+3) to be 3 over total and In 3rd place.
The conditions for the 3rd round were perfect for the day. Light breeze if not any. Making a solid par at the 1st I hit an 9iron on the wrong side of the flag to make a 3 putt bogey. A shot at 3 to 4m for birdie missing the opportunity. Pars at 4 and 5 were solid until a lost ball left at the deliverable 6th hole threw me out of contention for the potential lead as others made easy birdies. There was a great chance at 9 for a birdie from 4m lipping the edge and this seemed to be like the rest of the day.
Heading into the back nine I nearly had 2 holes in ones hitting it to a cup away on 12 and 15, 8iron and 9iron for tap in birdies but in-between a 3 putt on 13 and a driver left into the water both making bogey drew me to level for the back nine. Did have chances at 16, 17 and 18 for birdies all hitting the cup with nothing dropping.
Will be in the lead group come tomorrow and I am looking to this time get out of the blocks early before heading into the Sunday back nine. Thanks to everyone who has given there support not only now but also when my game isn’t there.
