2nd Round Cottesloe Open
After the 2nd round of the Cottesloe Open I have shot a score of 70 (-2) to be 3 under total and T14th.
A perfect day for golf with a crisp breeze throughout the day made the course tough early on. The day was very much a bogey, birdie, bogey birdie type of day for me.
After shooting one under the front nine I put myself in a good position to have a low score for the last round. 3 birdies and 2 bogeys on that nine. 2 birdies in a row to complete the front nine I bogeyed the 10th with a miss fairway.
At 14 I hit the green under regulation for a 2 putt birdie on the par 5 to follow it up with a bogey at 15. Hitting the par 4 16th in one, I made the eagle putt. Following that up with an up and down birdie at 17 on the par 5 then bogeying the last with wedge in hand from the fairway.
Plenty of mistakes but lots of good holes over the last 3 rounds. Cut down on these bad holes for next week. Next stop is PGA Tour China. I fly out to China tomorrow night. Looking forward to a rest day tomorrow after 6 rounds in a row.
