Ocean Shores Pro-Am
After the Ocean Shores Pro-Am I have shot a score of 86 (+14) to finish T48th. Never seen the golf course before and an early start on a fine humid morning.
Ocean Shores has 6 par 5’s, 6 par 4’s and 6 par 3’s and none of them double up. Found it hard to get into a flow with the par change ups. The greens were rolling pure and I found it also hard to judge green depths and trust where to land the shot on the green.
Starting on the 10th I was 1 over through 3 holes. Only hitting 3 greens on the 1st nine I was doing well to be 3 over with a shank resulting in a double bogey on the 15th tee shot, my 6th.
But it was my back nine where I racked up the numbers. Unfortunately the hitting never improved and left me in some horrible places. Once I got out to 6 over after 12 holes I started working on my game for tomorrow’s event at Wyong. Just finished the big drive back home to Manly before I sleep and drive back north to tee off at the Wyong Pro-Am tomorrow at 12.30pm. #tourlife #quickturnaround
What a great course Ocean Shores is though. I can’t wait to play it again now I know what to do next time.
