Murrumbidgee Pro-Am

At the Murrumbidgee Pro-Am I have shot a score of 68 (-4) to come T4th. Again it was perfect conditions for golf all day with hardly a breath of wind seemingly the temps reached up into the low 20’s.

The course was in excellent condition and the greens rolled perfectly with a speed I enjoyed. Great to see the track again after 6 years of not playing it.

After turning 3 under on the front 9 making 3 birdies on the 2 par 5’s I also then holed a 20ft birdie putt on the 9th which was a tough par 3 hitting one of the best 5irons I have hit in my life from 189m.

On the turn I made my only mistake for the day coming at the par 5 11th from 40m out for my 3rd shot, however I bounced back at the next with birdie hitting a 9iron to 6ft.

At the 14th I was in a prime spot to attack the green under regulation but missed the green right with my 4 wood not making the up and down. Although missing the birdie there this was the start of a green in regulation run hitting the rest of the greens and making the closest putt which was on the last from 3ft. Another solid performance which I am pleased about.

I head home now back to Manly to rest and practice until the Queanbeyan Pro-Am which starts on Tuesday teeing off in the morning.
