Tuesday Lanhai Open – PGA Tour China

Tuesday at the Lanhai Open I have played a practice round. The course is a links course where the wind will play a major role for the week. Even without wind the course plays difficult. Most par 4’s are over 400m with one in particular the 16th that is 452m which played into the wind today. Driver then 4 iron.

The photos I have posted is hole number 4. Pretty much the Great Wall of China runs through the middle of the hole. You can choose to hit your tee shot either side of the wall.

Looking forward to the week as it will be a good test of golf especially if the elements do pick up. Ball striking and distance control will be key.

I am playing the pro-am tomorrow teeing off at 12noon. Another hit around this place won’t go to waste as there is multiple slopes throughout the greens. Got to recall where you should leave the ball.
