Round 4 Nanjing Zhongshan Open – PGA Tour China
Starting on the back nine I was 2 under through 3 holes off to a great start. I hit the next 8 greens in a row always inside 15ft only making the longest putt for birdie which is just not good enough. In those 8 holes there was a short par 4 and 2 easy par 5’s. Just birding them would have felt like pars so really I could have been very hot for the day making birdies on the harder holes.
Standing on the 3rd tee the par 3 a gust of wind picked up and held my ball up in the air to fall short into the bunker. Knifing the ball over the green I made bogey. Unfortunately I back this up with bogey at the next with wedge in hand spinning the ball off the green running 30 to 40m down the hill back towards me screwing up the round I had going for the day.
At the last par 5 not making up and down from the front edge I added more pain to the day and again a similar chip at the next making par, bogey respectively. Really disappointing way to end the event.
One more event here in China for this period before a break in the season.
