Round 3 Wanda Open – PGA Tour China
After round 3 of the Wanda Open I have shot a score of 74 (+2) to be 5 over total and T43rd.
With consistent rain in the middle period of the round I played some great golf when it was raining heavily. The round today was very similar to the 2nd round in the way the game flowed. Starting slow rallying in the middle and finishing on the last with a bad score. I was pleased today that I was able to also put 3 birdies in a row together which has not happened this year.
Over the past few days my left hand has slowly started to feel pain between my pinky and ring finger. The pain would sharpen in the take away position and down swing position just before impact. Today there was certainly some shots out there that was affected by this pain and I was not able to play to my full potential masking the round with easier shot attempts into greens, at times taking an extra club here and there.
Knowing that my hand has progressively gotten worse I just hope I can withstand tomorrow’s round and finish off the event on a good note. I did well not lose any ground with this injury today but knowing what the pain is like now after the round it is not looking good for tomorrow.
