Round 3 Swing Thought Tour – Harbor Hills
After round three of the Swing Thought Tour, Harbor Hills I have shot a score of 67 (-5) bogey free to be 12 under total and 9 shots back. Only four shots back of 2nd place.
I have now gone 40 holes without a bogey which has surpassed my best ever streak. This is also now my lowest total after 3 rounds. Lot of personal bests getting beaten which is just thrilling to see. All the hard work paying off. Plenty of golf to go though.
Today was a big grind on my front nine teeing off on the 10th. I only hit 4 greens to be 2 under going outwards.
Missing the green at the 10th long, I made another difficult up and down. On 11 I pull hooked a shot almost out of bounds only to hit a tree and kick back into the fairway bunker. From there I left it 30m short of the green to get up and down. Then on 12, the par 5 off the tee I drove it out of bounds to only eagle my 2nd ball in play to make a par. This stretch was amazing and awesome to keep the momentum rolling.
A birdie at the 6th and 8th I continued to go deeper. The putter has finally taken a turn for the good and I feel I am in the best short game shape of my life.
