Round 2 New Zealand PGA Championship

After round 2 of the New Zealand PGA I have shot a score of 70 (-2) to be 2 under total and come T53rd. Missing the cut by one.

After starting with an eagle and having a birdie on the 4th it was a great start to the 2nd round. On 6 and 7 I had 2 disappointing 3 putts before a bounce back birdie at 8 and bogey at 9.

After a birdie at 13 I believed I was in the box seat to make the weekend with 3 par 5’s to come at 2 under total but it was to be 3 under. Bogey at 16 from 2 meters of the green was very soft. I thought I had to make birdie up the par 5 18th making the cut at 2 under.

After pumping driver 320m down a slight hill I had 160m to the flag where I hit 6 iron to 3m. After looking at the leaderboard I saw 3 under was the mark and I knew I had to hole this eagle putt chance which went by missing the cup.

Gave it my all I had and that is all that matters. Thanks to everyone for the week.
