Round 1 Spalding Park

After the 1st round of the Spalding Park Open I have shot a score of 75 (+3) to be placed T45th. With winds well over 30km/h it was slightly more difficult for the afternoon than the morning although I enjoy the wind. Greens were rolling at 13 on the stimp.

Missing the 1st 3 fairways for the day I was 2 over through 3 holes. Close approaches at 4, 5, 6 and 7 I was unable to convert with the putter for birdie. Another missed fairway on 8 cause more turmoil making bogey again before being faced with an easy par 5 where I made a double bogey with a 4 putt.

I had to dig deep and claw my way back which I did on the back nine having 2 under with 3 birdies and a bogey giving my chance to make the cut in the morning for the 2nd round. Teeing off at 7.54am.
