Round 1- Ian Weigh Toyota Rockhampton Pro Am
After the 1st round of the Rockhampton Pro-Am I have shot a score of 71 (-1) to be T36th.
The last few days have been perfect weather and it was much the same today as the ground starts to dry up from the rain dumped last weekend. Many players took advantage of the perfect conditions.
Hitting 15 greens in regulation for the day the putter was not having its day. Early on the there was a couple of shots I hit close inside a meter where for birdie to start going under par and I missed them both. No momentum early. Through the middle part of the round I hit a slump making two bogeys in 4 holes starting my back nine and I ground out the rest of the day.
I have had many of these days of recent and I know when these happen to just keep being patient and keep giving it my all even when the putter is not doing what is normal and I am pleased with getting into red figures for round one. You never know when the putter may turn up during this week.
