Result 2 Round China Q-School
Jack Nicklaus course design this week and a statue is presented in the court yard at the Wind Valley Golf Course. The name speaks for it’s self today as the wind was all the talk amongst the professionals.
After the 2nd round of the PGA Tour China Tour School I have shot a score of 73 (+1) to be 2 over total and coming T22nd.
With winds gusting from 40 to 70km/h it was going to be a grind. Starting on the back nine which is the links side is where the wind played its most havoc. After a solid par at the 1st and a 3 putt bogey at the 2nd the somewhat snack holes were to come.
After not birding the two par 5’s 3 and 5 and bogeying the short par 3 I was behind the 8 ball for the day sitting at 2 over thru 5.
Birdie at 6, the short par 4 and giving it straight back on the next, 3 putt again put me on the ropes with the tougher side to come.
4 solid pars on holes that played into the wind help to give me some positive thoughts for the rest of the day. Birdie on the par 5 12th and I capitalized.
The best part of the day was holing out for eagle out of the bunker on the last par 5 of the day but I gave it all back on the next two to finish the round. Moving day tomorrow and I am happy with my position so far. #pgatourchina
