Nexus Risk TSA WA Open Round 2
After the 2nd round of the TSA Risk Nexus Western Australian Open I have shot a score of 72 (Ev) to be 2 under total T25th making the cut. Certainly had the better conditions for round two. Much like yesterday. Hot no wind.
Starting on the 9th hole I made a birdie on the par 5 pitching my 3rd shot to a foot. Made a great par save at 10. Close chances at 11 and 12 for birdie missing before hitting driver into the fairway trap at 13 resulting in a bogey as the par putt lipped out. 14 I airmailed an 8 iron on the par 3 and made an amazing up and down. Solid birdie at 15 moved me back in the right direction.
A 2 iron off 16 finished in the right rough where I had to hit a low fade around the trees to 7m which was outstanding although could not capitalize making par. I now had some easy holes to come having done all the hard work so far. Hitting 17, 18, 3, 4, 7, and 8 greens in regulation I made birdies at 4 and 7 the two par 5’s. A brilliant save came at the 1st but I could not make amends on the rest of the missed greens coming home therefore resulted with bogies on 2, 5 and 6 undoing the hard work I had fought for today.
11 greens 29 putts. Teeing off for round 3 at 9am in a 2 ball. There is forecast for wind so could post a number and who knows what could happen seeing how fast these greens are.
