Muree Pro-Am
After the Muree Pro-Am I have shot a score of 70 (-1) placing 4th. Arriving at the club and the wind was blowing off the charts. Greens were rolling quick and I was wondering if we were even going to play today.
Starting on the 16th teeing off in the afternoon field I holed a 5m putt for birdie on the par 3. Solid par at the next into the breeze really cemented a great start with a up and down save on 18 it continued.
Up and down par saves on the front nine came at 1, 3 and 5. On 2 and 4 there was a birdie chance from 3m both lipping out. Close approach on 6 I made birdie before giving it back at the next. A short par 4 after 3 putting being 30m out for my 2nd shot. Simple two putt par at the 8th before a birdie on the par 5 9th with a dead straight downhiller from 2m.
Wild drive on 10 onto the 9th hole I managed from there to hit the green making par. Getting on a roll another par 5 fronted me at the next making birdie to go 3 under for the day. On 12 the par 3 I missed judged the wind and the ball spun off the green unable to make up and down. At the next 2 holes I missed the green and also did not make up and down for pars making 3 bogies in a row. The last hole of the day was a par 5 where I knocked it on for 2 and had an eagle putt from 4m lipping out and tapping in for birdie.
Unfortunate not to finish it off but with how strong the wind was it was great to have the score I did and shoot under par. Teeing off at the Nelson Bay Pro-Am tomorrow at 7.30am.
