Morisset Pro Am Round 2

After the 2nd round of the Morisset Pro Am I have shot a score of 70 (-2) to be 4 under total finishing T5th hitting 9 greens 25 putts.

I wouldn’t of thought the professionals were going to play 36 holes and complete this 2 round event with the amount of rain we had in NSW the last few days on the coast.

It was a different round of golf compared to the 14 greens I hit in the 1st round however it was a round where if you told me I hit 9 greens without counting I would have been like ‘no way, I hit way more’.

Starting on the 4th just like yesterday I did not hit my 1st green in reg till 6 making bogey on the 5th, my only bogey for the day. The 6th was a decent birdie chance at 3m missing but made the bird at the par 3 7th holing a 8m putt. Nice front of the green up and down par save at 8 rounding out a regulation par on 9.

Again bit of a repeat of 8 and 9 on 10 and 11 and guess what again at 12 and 13 (Miss green, hit green) least I was making the saves to continue the monument. Again at 14 another miss green although this time I rolled it in from off the green 8m to finally taste the red.

From here it was a tad frustrating with my opportunities over the closing holes. From 15 to the 3rd I had the easiest stretch of the course having 3 par 5’s and a driverable par 4 where I only birdied my last. On the other 2 holes 17 and 18, 17 I had a birdie chance from 8m and 2.5m. Anyways it was a delight to be out there and remember how good I have it appreciating the health I have. The Morisset Pro Am did an excellent job raising funds and awareness for the Lyle family.

Getting closer and closer. Overall another very solid performance and I am starting to feel really comfortable with my game. Next event is tomorrow at Castle Hill another 2 day event teeing off at 12.45pm.
