Magenta Shores Pro Am Round 1
After the 1st round of the Magenta Shores Pro-Am I have shot a score of 72 (Ev) to be T6th. Teeing off in the morning on an overcast day at times. The wind was blowing early before dropping after 4 holes and picking back up for the final 6. Greens were rolling mint. Similar to Royal Perth at the Western Australian Open 2 weeks ago.
Starting on the 2nd hole I was faced with a hard stretch early. Missing the 1st 2 greens in regulation I made one up and down for par. The other a bogey on the 3rd. At the 177m par 3 4th I almost had a hole in one tapping in for a birdie. This was the 1st of 3 bounce backs. The other two bounce backs came at 9 and 10 plus 12 and 13.
Hitting the greens from 14 to 17 I was unable to convert for birdies. Putts going very close to dropping. Made a great save at the par 5 18th for par after driving the ball into the left bunker off the tee however at the last hole of the day the 1st, I rolled in a 15m birdie putt along with giving it a fist pump and hi 5’s all round from Danny and James. Great young up and coming golfers.
12 greens 29 putts. Solid day and in a great position for a chance at the win tomorrow if a good result was to show.
