Henan Open Pro – Am
My super Chinese Caddy and I took on the Pro-Am for the Henan Open today. Didn’t get to have a practice round yesterday so I treated today’s round like one.
The course is in a very green state. Set up just like a USA type of course. Massive, sloping greens, wide fairways, thick rough and plenty of water hazards. Greens today were running quite slow but a little birdie has told me they will become 2 feet quicker tomorrow which will make them a perfect speed in my opinion. I played with the course designer who showed and told me everything I needed to know before the 1st round.
This place can play quite tough if the hosts want it to. A score of 3 under last year total ranked 5th where 13 under won the event. I am looking forward to the week starting the season on the PGA Tour China. I tee off tomorrow at 11.50am.
