Henan Open China Tour 4th Round

After the 4th round of the Henan Open China Tour I have shot a score of 72 (Ev) to be 2 under total and T28th.

Humid, hot conditions today. No wind to speak of just like the whole week. Teeing off the 1st I started with 2 greens in regulation and 2 putt pars. On the 3rd tee a hook left into the hazard caused a shot worse on the hole. Then added another at the 4th to be 2 over through 4. I was able to back the 2 bogies up with birdies at the next two holes holing a 10m putt on 5 and 2 putting the drivable 6th hole.

Greens in regulation 2 putt par at 7 before a sweet 4iron set sail over the green on the 206m par 3, 8th. Could not believe it. Hit a shank out of the bunker and stopped barely short of the water. Chipped the ball to 4m before sinking a crucial putt for bogey and an up and down par at the 9th.

Man did I flush it on the back nine. Only missed one shot which was off the tee at 13 where I hit it into the trees left to chip out making bogey. The rest I had chances for birdie and made 2 on holes 15 and the hardest hole on the course 17. Close chances were at 10, 11 and 16 all within 3m.

Somewhat happy with the start to the 2017 China Tour season especially after being 3 over after the 1st round. No 3 putts for the week. Back home to Australia now to practice and prepare for the next event in Beijing in just over a week at the Manly Golf Club.18952799_1932909193623431_5404317738705155831_n
