Grafton Pro Am
After the Grafton Pro Am I have shot a score of 68 -4 to place 5th hitting 10 greens and 25 putts.
The day was spectacular with the greens improving since Wednesday when I played a half practice round. There was forecast for rain but sunshine prevailed.
Similar start to yesterday with 4 putts in my 1st 4 holes to be 2 under. A 2 putt on the starting 2nd hole for birdie and a 2m putt on 4 did the trick. At the 6th little did I know I had short sighted myself thinking it was the best place to miss walking away with a bogey after missing a tricky 5m putt with server break.
I did well calming myself down after the bogey finishing 9 holes back at 2 under birding the par 5 9th from 4m. Solid par at 10 before another birdie flowed at 11 making an easy up and down at another par 5. It was not to long before another birdie dropped from 4m to get to 4 under at 13. Unfortunately 2 more bogies were had at 14 and 15 with a 3 putt and a green side drive on a par 4 where I had 3 chips. 2 came back to my feet getting the last one up and down. Again my speed choice on chipping has been just out.
Another great finish in my last 3 holes where I birdied 17 and 18 a par 3 and 5 before making up and down at my last on a tricky par 3 which was nice celebrating the round with a fist pump. Great to be back in contention and feel the blood pumping a bit faster.
Teeing off tomorrow at 12noon for the 2 day Yamba Pro Am the penultimate event of the trip.
