BMD Wynnum Pro-Am & Terrey Hill’s Waggs Pro-Am
Over the past few days I have played 2 events which were BMD Wynnum Pro-Am and the Terrey Hills Waggs Pro-Am. Both these events weight heavy for the best Pro-Ams to play all year.
At Wynnum I finished with 72 (+1) coming T 51st and at Terrey Hills 75 (+3) Top 10. Both days I got off to a slow start. At Wynnum it was a triple bogey on the 4th where I hit a shot into the tree and the ball flew back and hit me. Never was able to pull back enough on the rest of the holes. And at Terrey Hills a bogey on 14 the par 5 followed with a double at the next made the day hard to contend on the scoring front.
Although making another bogey at Terrey Hills on the 16th I followed that up with par, eagle, birdie at 18, 1 and 2 to get back to 1 over. Double again with a miss tee shot off the 5th killed the momentum. With birdies at 6 and 9 I also had bogeys at 7 and 8 to close the round.
There was a car up for grabs if a player was to have a hole in one and that went to the trainee at Monash which is just awesome. 40k!
Next event I will be defending my title at the one day Albury Pro-Am which starts next Wednesday.
