Bite Me Bakehouse Asquith Pro Am

After the Bite Me Bakehouse Asquith Pro Am I have shot a score of 66 (-4) finishing 2nd hitting 14 greens 29 putts.

The day started out humid and chance of storms all day. We had 3 cells narrowly miss us and it was a miracle the event finished.

Starting on the 4th I missed the fairway and had to punch out a shot to the front of the green pulling up 40m short. Pitching to 1.5m I made my only bogey for the day. Bounced back at the next 4iron, 8iron to 4m. Hitting the next 6 greens in a row I had some great looks for birdie but I managed to make an eagle on 8 to kick start the day from 4m. The next best opportunity was at 9 from 6m.

On the 12th I pulled up just shy of the green a par 3 and made a solid par save. 2 of the next 3 holes were par 5’s with another par 3 in-between them. Could not convert on the par 5’s but made birdie at the par 3 funnily enough. 16 missed the green long and 18 missed left pin high making both par saves to stay in it. 17 was a easy 5m 2 putt par on the par 3.

With 3 holes to go 2 of them being an 8iron reachable par 5 and a drivable par 4 I made par’s missing approximately 3m putts for birdie. The 3rd hole, my last for the day a 189m par 3 I hit 5iron to 5m and drained the putt to finish a shot clear of 9 players at 3 under. Nice putt to hole considering not taking advantage of the previous easy 2 holes.

Big thanks to Stephen the President of Asquith Golf Club as well as my other playing partners Adam and Andrew. Thanks to Paul and Dan in the shop for all their hard work they have put into creating such a wonderful event. Of course we would not have done it with our you Anthony who was the main sponsor of Bite Me Bakehouse. Got to say the pies and coffee this morning was amazing. Teeing off today at 12.30pm in the Everglades Pro Am.
