Asquith Pro-Am
Well done to the ladies I played with today taking out not only the Women’s Individual Competition but also the Team’s Event. Great playing Ladies. I believe I helped once with my only birdie. Plenty of 4’s and 5 points going round.
After the Asquith Pro-Am I have shot a score of 74 (+4) coming T35th. The sun was out and the wind picked up for the afternoon. The greens were a good speed and firm.
Teeing off on the 3rd hole I hit the 1st 3 greens in regulation making pars before missing the green at the par 3 6th long, just off the back. Running the putt by 4m I missed the return for bogey.
Making the turn at even I hit 10, 11 and 12 in regulation making pars. 13 and 14 I missed the greens making up and downs although at 15 the par 5 I did not make up and down from the bunker green side for birdie. This lead to a collapse going bogey, double and bogey. I finished off paring the last 2 holes.
11 greens 32 putts. Better ball striking day just was unable to drop the putts in the blustery conditions late when the greens were drying out. Off to Elenora tomorrow teeing off at 8am.
