2nd Round Murray Bridge Hotel PGA Classic
After the 2nd round of the Murray Bridge Hotel PGA Classic I have shot a score of 61 (-7) to be in 1st place by 2 shots standing at 8 under total.
The conditions were not to anyone’s fancy today with rain that flooded the greens for short periods of time but no wind. Quite unusual for South Australia.
In saying that I got off to a great start with 4 birdies in a row from the 14th to the 17th. Another came at the 3rd after making an up and down par at the previous hole.
Missing the next 4 greens in a row I made all of them up and down around what I call amen corner 5, 6 and 7. Not including the 4th.
Birdies flowed again at 8, 9 and 10 before standing on my 2nd last hole the par 5 knowing just one more birdie was going to be 59. Missing the fairway I made an up and down par to then 3 putt the last.
Overall I am stoked with my performance and my continued form into this week to be where I am. A fine day is planed for tomorrow for the 3rd and last round teeing off at 10am.
