1st Round Victorian PGA Championships
After the 1st round of the Victorian PGA I have shot a score of 69 (-3) to be placed T14th and 5 back from the leader.
For the 1st time in a round for a long time it was nice to get off to a good start in an event, 2 under through 3 holes.
On the 5th hole a missed green lead to a bogey narrowly missing the putt but managed to bounce back with a birdie at the par 5 6th. Missing the fairway at 7 lead to a disappointing par on an easy par 5, 3 putt at 8 and missing a 3m birdie putt at 9 halted all momentum.
Up and down birdie at 10 was a must before giving it back at the next to a 3 putt. Birdie at 13 after a miss timed drive was important before a reachable par 5. After missing the fairway on the par 5 I had to take an unplayable. After hitting from the unplayable spot to 100m out I managed to still make my par save.
Consistent golf was played until the last where I made birdie holing a 4 metre putt. Good start to the event and I am looking forward to the 2nd round in the morning teeing off time of 7.26am. #vicpga
