1st Round Ron Crouch Wagga Wagga Pro-Am
After the 1st round of the Wagga Wagga Pro-Am I have shot a score of 72 (Ev) to be T4th. The day was a ripper early with a touch of winter in the air. Winds slowly lifted to a steady/strong wind all day.
Greens are certainly hard and fast and this shows with the 1st round scores with only 3 professionals shooting under par for the day.
Earlier on, I was always battling between even and 1 over par. Making birdie on the 11th hole I managed to get under par for the day with a par 5 to come, hitting the green under regulation to 6m putting for eagle and walking away with a 3 putt par.
Drop shot at the next with a 3 putt again halted momentum. With a par 3 and two reachable par 5’s to finish I was unable to hit the fairway which caused hassle for easy birds making pars to finish.
Again I am in a prime spot to shot well tomorrow and have another high finish to a tournament. Teeing off at 12.30pm shotgun off the 1st.
