1st & 2nd round results PGA Tour Canada

After round 1 of the Qualifying School PGA Tour Canada I have shot a score of 75 (+3).

Over the course of the round I always hovered around 1 under and even par, usually making a birdie on a par 5 and giving it back on the next. I felt I could never really get ahead of the ball game.

Missing a easy birdie down 16 put me on the back foot with a awesome par on the long par 3 17th although the 18th was a story in its self.

Teeing off I thought the ball had finished in the left fairway bunker but when I walked up there it had run up the face and ended up in one of the 5 little shrubs on top of the lip. I had to play the ball sideways back out to the fairway, easy shot in from there. Even on this shot there was some risk but I never thought I would blade it through across the fairway into another bunker.

This bunker had no lip but it was all water carry to the green with 7iron in hand. Catching the shot heavy the ball went swimming. From there again with Pw I hit the green to two putt and take triple. 😩😰

Going back out in an hour to commence the 2nd round so I will be able to work back the shots lost. Better than going home and falling asleep on it. At least I can fight back the shots lost straight away! 👊🏼👍🏼😃

After the 2nd round of the Qualifying School PGA Tour Canada I have finished with a score of 74 (+2) to be 5 over total.

The 2nd round was very similar to the 1st. When I made a birdie or eagle I would make a bogey on the next. The game is ‘O’ so close. Keep planting one foot in front of the other and we will see a start like no other in an event soon. Patience!

I have had to withdraw from the event for family reasons but I am looking forward to playing a pay for play event next week in Orlando on the Swing Thought Tour.

Thanks to everyone for all the support this week.
